Black Firm Band

Hello we are the Black Firm Band, an Afro-traditional music group from Zimbabwe. Our band consists of seven talented members, including Charlotte Chibe, known as Seina, the only woman in the group, and Wallace Castle. Formed in 2023, our music blends traditional sounds with modern influences to create unique and moving compositions.

Warren Maporisa

My name is Warren Maporisa, known on stage as Wamsubhulubhu Nxa—a name that signifies something good, divine, and visionary, yet touched by the pain of rejection. Born on January 14, 1998, in Kwekwe, Zimbabwe, I am the eldest of three siblings. My sister Nomatter and brother Tadiwa look up to me, and in 2021, I married and now await the birth of my first child.

Massey

Welcome, my name is Lawrence Buda, also known as Massey. Born on February 23, 1988, I am 35 years old and grew up in Uba, now residing in Safa with my wife and two children. My music career began in 2000 when my brother encouraged me to join a choir. By 2003, I became a key member, recording professionally for the first time in 2006. I later joined a local band, as Crew, before going solo.

WaCharie

My name is WaCharie, but I was originally known as ‘Mano Child’. This name comes from my childhood. I am the eldest of three siblings and have one brother and one sister. My parents are both deceased and my family, especially my mum, has always been my biggest support.
